Fighting Spirit, in Style

There’s a little story behind every look.

I received this Ralph Lauren Polo Bear Sweater as a gift right after a big moment in our family. Nadia graduated from high school, and Enzo finished middle school.  It was a proud, emotional milestone, and this sweater felt like the perfect symbol to mark it.

It felt symbolic: the iconic bear, standing strong in boxing gloves, showing up with the heart, representing grit, resilience, pride, and the kind of quiet fight we all carry through transitions.

The Polo Bear, originally introduced in 1991, has become one of Ralph Lauren’s most beloved and recognizable emblems. It’s playful, nostalgic, and somehow always on point. Ralph himself has Polish roots, like me, which makes wearing his pieces feel even more personal. It’s a small but meaningful connection to legacy, identity, and style that lasts.

The sweater is lightweight and effortless, perfect for Chicago’s unpredictable mornings or evenings. I styled it with a classic pleated tennis skirt and comfortable suede loafers. Because when clothes feel good, they move with you and that’s always the goal.

There’s something empowering about wearing something playful that still holds purpose.

The Bear may be cute, but he’s also a champ.
