What to Pack for a Beach Wedding, Rooftop Party, and Vacation Dinner: One Dress, Three Ways

Makeup by: Vesa Gashi | Hair by: Christina Morales | Photos by: Guri Gashi

It starts with the kind of dress that stops you mid-scroll. The kind you can already see draped against sun-warmed skin or floating through a warm summer breezy night.

I usually gravitate toward neutrals black, white, beige but when summer hits, I crave color. The challenge? Finding something vibrant as most brands default to minimal palettes right now. When I spotted this swirl of pastel and sunset tones, it felt like a rare gem.

We shot this look poolside, but the styling possibilities are as expansive as your travel wishlist.

Look One: The Loewe Moment

Worn with a lavender Loewe Mini Flamenco Clutch and minimal gold jewelry, this is your vacation essential. Hair loose, skin sun-kissed, and your schedule blissfully empty. It’s effortless but intentional, perfect for when you want your outfit to do the talking during a sunset cocktail hour or barefoot stroll through a beachside resort.

Look Two: A Chicago Summer Soirée

Paired with the Powder Blue Chanel Flap Bag and polished waves, the vibe shifts. You’re not at the beach, you’re at a rooftop garden party or a fundraiser at Soho House. Maybe you’re in heels, maybe you’re in flats, but either way, you’re exactly where you want to be, dressed in something that feels chic without trying too hard.

Look Three: Hermes in the Mediterranean

Enter the tiny Hermes Navy Blue Kelly 20. Suddenly, this dress belongs in St Tropez or Capri. It’s not just the colors, it’s the confidence. The high-summer glam that whispers old-school jet-set while feeling completely current. Add a slick of gloss and a little bronzer, and you’re ready for an aperitivo that turns into dinner that turns into dancing.

Because isn’t that the dream? That a single dress can do all of it. Vacation ease. City chic. Coastal drama.

PS: I linked every product that my makeup artist, Vesa Gashi, used to get this glow. From skincare prep to the exact lip combo and highlighter that caught the sun just right. You know I don’t gatekeep.

More soon,
Monika
