Resolutions that Stick: Chill Chicago Meditation + Wellness Retreat
The energy that comes with the beginning of a new year is electric. Everyone in the world has the same jumping off point and an entire year ahead to conquer goals. Setting a New Year’s resolution is a great way to put a little more effort into the areas of your life that you find important.
However, we all know that as the weeks go by and we fall back into our daily grind, these resolutions get placed on the back burner. Life continues to happen and before we know it, the beginning of December is upon us and we are all trying to rapidly obtain the goals that we laid out 11 months earlier.
One of the best ways to stay true to your resolutions is to make plans in advance and have someone or something to hold you accountable. Giving myself more time to relax + take a step back from my busy day to day is a constant goal that I have, and it’s very easy for life to get in the way. However, this year I’m kicking off my resolutions by making firm plans to help me stay focused. Chill Chicago is hosting a Chicago Meditation + Wellness Retreat on January 26th and 27th at the St. Jane Hotel and this seemed like the perfect start to obtain my 2019 goal.
Over two days the retreat will include meditation and yoga sessions accompanied by a journaling workshop and healthy meals. This retreat is designed to make mindfulness a priority in your life - even with a busy schedule. No matter what day it is, or what you have going on, there is always time to take a breath + appreciate the moment you are in.
