Stepping Into Thigh-Highs

Thigh High and Over-the-Knee boots are here to stay! It is a polished and sexy style that can be worn so many different ways. However...I know we have all had those times where stepping into these shoes can be a two person job. Stylist, Kelsey Oenick, showed me her trick for getting these boots on, no problem.

Step One: Fold the boot in half - roll the top of the boot down over the entire shoe so it sits at the heel. This allows you to easily get your foot settled into the sole of the shoe without having to deal with the full height of the boot.

Step Two: Step into the folded boot.

Step Three:  Pull the boot up your leg making sure it doesn't twist on its way up. Use the strings to make the top of the boot as tight to your thigh as you prefer.

Kelsey showed me a fantastic ways to wear these boots - a dress with a dramatic slit. I love the solid contrast of these Stuart Weitzman boots against the ginham of this Monse dress - such a power outfit!

Steve Madden and Sam Edelman also offer a very similar style boot at a lower price point. They are a staple to have in your closet and look great in all different colors and materials. Pull them on over a pair of skinny jeans or pair them with a skirt or dress for a smart, wintertime style.
